Sissiborgaon College is an emerging institution of Higher Education on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra in upper Assam. It is situated in a remote area, Sissiborgaon, which is 22 kilometers away from the district headquarter Dhemaji. The college was established in 1992 and is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. It is also recognised by UGC under 2(f) and 12(B), and is NAAC accredited with a B++ grade and a CGPA of 2.93.

The college has been playing a pivotal role in imparting quality education since its inception. It offers undergraduate-level education in the Arts stream with 28 energetic and dedicated faculty members. The college offers Honours in the subjects of English, Assamese, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Economics, and History. It also imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate education through the Distance Education mode under Dibrugarh University.

Various programmes organized by the NSS unit, IQAC, Women Cell, etc., have been helping our students in building their careers and personalities. The placement of students from this college in government and other sectors has been very good in number and quite satisfactory.

With an energetic teaching staff, we are trying to provide value-based education to ensure the all-round development of the students under the CBCS mode and the NEP (FYUGP) system of education.
